About the Project
Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) is an essential business strategy to ensure corporate governance, mitigate enterprise risks, and maintain compliance with regulatory policies. A number of organizations opt for the GRC solutions offered by SAP to streamline their strategy but often find themselves unable to effectively and successfully utilize the various features of it.
Our client has a similar challenge and they find it difficult to integrate one of the cloud-based HRMS application – Darwinbox with SAP GRC Access Control application. The main purpose of this integration is to identify the right set of managers and route the request to the appropriate approvers. Further, map the user information from the HRMS solution.

The Challenge
To improve the HR framework currently being utilized, the client considered migration from SAP HCM to a comprehensive cloud-based solution -Darwinbox. However, an issue arose in the form of the inability to integrate SAP GRC with the Darwinbox application. Contrary to this, SAP GRC was the main provisioning system that manages the onboardings, movements, and separation activities. Due to a lack of integration, manually executing these tasks became a daunting activity.
Our Approach
Seamless integration with automated workflows between SAP GRC Access Control & Darwinbox
Our team evaluated and analyzed the requirements and identified the probable gaps. This helped us create integration points to ensure seamless integration between SAP GRC and HRMS.
Our ABAP team enhanced the solution by offering relevant APIs which helped in getting data from the HRMS system and integrate to GRC Access Control ARM application. Further, field mapping was also streamlined.
Our team helped in automating the process which improved the data flow from the GRC system to the HRMS (and vice versa) without any human guidance. The workflows were created and defined to automatically select the right data & approvers.
